Grammy carves out a lid so I can scoop out the seeds.
I picked out a sugar pumpkin to make a jack o' lantern after we walked down to the farm stand.
There were all kinds of pumpkins piled up in heaps.
There was a 300 pound pumpkin in front of the stand's entrance, but I picked this pumpkin to take home to Grammy's kitchen because I could carry it all by myself.
Mommy comes home from nursing school to help me, and Grammy takes our picture.
Mommy and I work together.
Mommy says to try using my hands and I pull out the seeds and feel the sqishy pumpkin pulp inside.
A little water helps to clean up.
Now there are two happy grins.
The lid is like a puzzle piece and I have to look closely before I set it on top so it lines up.
We spread the seeds out so they can be baked in the oven for a healthy snack. It helps the taste to add a little salt.
Yummy, nutritious, and delicious!
