Actually, if you were to ask me I would tell you that every day has it's own beauty, and getting outside is what we were meant to do as human beings.
Ever notice how much better you feel once you've had a little sunshine and some fresh air?
Well it's the same for our kids. I know, I know, it's getting off the couch and putting on a pair of sneakers, but it's worth the extra effort, I promise.
Getting outside with your child on a daily basis is something positive and cheap you can do for all of you. (You walk your dog, don't you?) Kids, like animals love being outside as well, and there is nothing like an open space to lift the mood and maybe even bring on a better appetite and a nice rest afterwards.
What parent doesn't like a little down time after some playtime?
A recent study tells us that children who play in natural settings are less apt to have challenges with ADD or ADHD, develop keener abilities to see long distance, and do better in school. They needed a study to tell us something parents have known for generations?
Breathe, it's late summer and it is wonderful. Honest, a little birdie told me, so get going! Your child will thank you and you'll thank yourself for pulling on your sneakers after all. Have fun, relax and let your child lead the way, see where it all takes you.
Cheers to the earth's many treasures, and the wind's lovely air, and the sun's warmth of Vitamin D. It's free, now go!
Good Luck!! Good Parenting!!
Bon :)
